苏格兰首席大臣访华推介旅游 致命吸引人人有效

  苏格兰首席大臣Alex Salmond先生将率领苏格兰旅游代表团于2010年7月4-10日访问中国。 这次代表团成员由来自苏格兰国际发展署、苏格兰旅游局和苏格兰旅游行业的代表们组成。

  苏格兰旅游代表团将在上海期间参观世博会,组织旅游同业交流会、媒体见面会以及高尔夫主题推广活动,之后代表团将访问香港。

  此次访问旨在提高中国各界对苏格兰在商业、高尔夫、威士忌、文化、旅游和教育等方面的资源和特色的认知,加强与中国业界领袖和决策者之间的合作与沟通。

  近几年中国的经济实力不段增强,已经日益成为苏格兰重要的合作伙伴之一,特别是在经济发展领域。上海世博会对于两国建立和加强双边关系增强经济纽带将发挥极为重要的作用。

  苏格兰旅游局主席Mike Cantlay先生表示,“苏格兰拥有独特丰富的旅游资源,吸引着中国的游客。苏格兰有着活力多元文化城市格拉斯哥和爱丁堡,有着壮美辽阔的苏格兰高地。而且还是高尔夫球和威士忌的故乡,这是对于每一个游客都有着致命吸引力的旅游目的地。”

  中国对于苏格兰旅游市场的发展将起着关键作用,我们会继续加强与中国旅游业界的合作。我们将提供给中国游客量身定做的度假产品,这从近几年不断增长的游客数字中也能看出。”

  中国是苏格兰最重要的新兴潜力市场,中国游客人数从2005年的7000人已经上升到2007-2009年的11000人,为苏格兰带来每年7百万英镑的收入。

  苏格兰最著名的景点之一爱丁堡城堡在2008-2010年接待了超过95000名中国游客(其中也包括在英国学习和工作的中国人),占全年总游客的4%。爱丁堡的Apex酒店统计出在2009-2010年旗下5家酒店入住的中国客人上涨了100%。

  Gretna Green集团统计数据显示自2005年中英签署ADS旅游协议以来,他们接待的中国游客人数有了很大上升。与2009年相比,GG集团接待的中国游客数量增长了97%。

  中国为苏格兰奢华旅游和品牌提供了广阔的市场发展空间。苏格兰在提供奢华旅游产品方面有着独特资源和经验,拥有世界一流的高尔夫体验产品以及高品质的住宿和威士忌酒厂。

  First Minister of Scotland Leads China Tourism and Trade Visit

  First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, will lead Scotland’s tourism and trade mission to China from 4-10 July, following on from the successful 2009 visit.  The Scottish Government along with strategic partners Scottish Development International (SDI), VisitScotland and Scottish tourism partners will showcase the very best that Scotland has to offer. 

  The delegation will visit Shanghai, along with a planned visit to Shanghai Expo 2010, before travelling to Hong Kong.  The group will combine trade workshops, sales calls, media meetings and a Scottish Golf Day at Silport Golf Club, Shanghai, for key partners.  

  The mission aims to raise Scotland’s profile in China in terms of business, golf, whisky, culture, tourism and education and showcase Scotland to key influencers and decision-makers within China’s travel trade and business community. 

  As an emerging global economic power and an essential partner for Scotland, China can contribute to the key purpose of the Scottish Government, which is to increase sustainable economic growth.  Shanghai Expo provides a focus and an ideal opportunity to build and maintain relationships and promote Scotland as a key economic partner。

  VisitScotland Chairman, Mike Cantlay said, “Scotland has a huge range of experiences that are attractive to the Chinese visitor, from the culturally rich cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh to the accessible scenery and countryside throughout Scotland.  Moreover, as the Home of Golf and the Home of Whisky, Scotland is a unique destination for any potential visitor。”

  “China is key to Scotland’s targeted tourism growth and we are continuing to work closely with the Chinese travel trade and to develop the relationships we have built up in China. We can offer the type of holiday experience that Chinese tourists will undoubtedly enjoy, a fact backed up by the increase in consumer visitor figures in recent years”。

  China is one of Scotland’s most important emerging markets with an increase in visits from 7,000 in 2005 to approximately 11,000 a year from 2007-2009, with these visits are worth average of £7 million to the Scottish economy each year. 

  Scotland’s top tourist attraction Edinburgh Castle welcomed over 95,000 Chinese visitors in the period 2008-2010, including students and nationals living in the UK, with Chinese visitors accounting for 4% of Edinburgh Castle’s total visits for one year.   Apex Hotels also reported over 100% increase in Chinese guests from 2009 to 2010, across their five Scottish hotels。

  Gretna Green Group has also reported a huge rise in Chinese visitor figures in 2010, having been involved in the China market since the first ADS tour in 2005.  Partnering the trade mission to China again this year, Gretna Green Group have reported a 97% increase in Chinese visitors compared with 2009.

  The Chinese market offers a real opportunity for Scotland’s luxury businesses and brands, with

  Scotland able to offer the type of destination experience that visitors from China enjoy.  Scotland has a great range of pre-organised packages at the high end of the market, a second to none golfing reputation, and an abundance of luxury accommodation options and whisky distilleries。
